Dublin City University, initially established in 1989, is located to the north of Dublin City. There are five campuses – three academic – DCU Glasnevin in Glasnevin, DCU St Patricks and DCU All Hallows both in Drumcondra. The other two campuses are our innovation campus, DCU Alpha, and the DCU Sports Campus both located in Glasnevin. All campuses are accessible via public transport from Dublin city center, Dublin Airport, and the M50 and M1 motorways. The walking distance is a 2.5 km radius of each other (about 20 -30 minutes).
Active commuting (walking/cycling) to DCU is strongly encouraged with secure cycle parking available on all campuses and weekly free bicycle service clinics for all students and staff during term time. There are cycle lanes on the approach routes to the campuses many of which are being extended and upgraded. There are active commuter shower facilities available on all DCU Academic Campuses for further information on operational showers during this COVID-19 period please check the DCU website.
